Green Building Renewables exhibiting at Energy Saving Fair in Wetherby Town Hall on Saturday, 28th January 2023.
Energy Saving Advice in North Yorkshire
This month, Green Building Renewables will be helping residents from in and around Wetherby to understand how installing solar panels and switching to low carbon heating are ways to make their houses more energy efficient. We will be giving advice and discussing renewables examples at the Wetherby Town Hall on Saturday, 28th January.
The free event has been organised by Boston Spa, Wetherby and Villages Community Green Group. The focus is on how installing solar and the switch to low carbon heating can help conserve energy and reduce energy bills. The event follows a successful Eco-Energy Fair held in September 2022.
Energy Saving advice and presentations
Many people are struggling to cope with the steep rise in energy costs that have hit households and businesses hard during the past year. Although the government has taken action to help with energy bills and cap energy prices, the cap will be raised again in April 2023, and prices will be even higher. So, with inflation at its highest level for many years and a cost of living crisis, conserving energy and keeping costs manageable is a priority for many people.
There will be several displays with presentations on various issues on saving energy, retrofitting insulation, installing low carbon solar and heat pumps, renewable energy and the latest grant funding. There will be tips, practical advice, a public forum for anyone to raise questions, children’s activities and warm refreshments. Our Commercial Sales Manager, Chris Garvey, will be attending the event, and you can ask him questions about all the products and services we offer to make your house more energy efficient.
Green Building Renewables Managing Director, Chris Delaney, said: “How can I make my house more energy efficient?’ is one question we frequently hear from our customers. More people want interconnected solutions for ways to improve their homes. We are seeing customers who want to install solar panels, switch to low carbon heating, and enhance the insulation of their homes. Therefore, bringing together in one place lots of different organisations that can help people in multiple ways is a wonderful way to educate and inform people about the options available to them. As a York-headquartered business, we already have many customers in the region, and this is a perfect way to help and meet more.”
Energy saving advice from our sister business
Andy Mitchell, managing director of our sister business Green Building Store, will also attend the event and discuss its triple glazing windows and doors and MVHR systems.
Event organiser Penny Stables said, “As temperatures drop and the costs of heating households and businesses rise, it is important that we all make an effort to conserve energy to keep our bills as low as possible. This free event will give people a range of ideas, tips and measures they can take, such as using renewables and retrofitting homes. Hopefully, they will leave better informed with ideas to keep their energy costs manageable”.
