Wakefield Sports Club
We are thrilled to share the success story of our recent solar panel installation at Wakefield Sports Centre. With a commitment to sustainable energy solutions, we undertook the installation of state-of-the-art solar panels, a milestone that aligns with our dedication to a greener and more eco-conscious future. By harnessing the power of the sun, we have empowered Wakefield Sports Centre to reduce its carbon footprint and take a significant step towards energy independence. Our team's expertise and meticulous planning ensured the seamless integration of the solar panels, maximising their efficiency and impact. This installation not only exemplifies our passion for renewable energy but also reflects our mission to drive positive change within the community. Join us in celebrating this remarkable achievement as we illuminate the path to a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow.
Wakefield Sports Club offers the surrounding community a wide variety of sporting options from hockey and squash to target practice and football. Events are also held here to celebrate the winners of competitions which happen throughout the day and into the evening throughout the year. This along with chillers and borehole water pumps mean that the electrical consumption remains consistently high 24/7. This results in a annual usage of over 70,000 kWh meaning a suitably sized solar PV and battery storage system can reduce this significantly.
We initially installed a 61 kW solar PV system along with 30.1 kWh of battery storage – due to their increasing night time usage Wakefield Sports Club wished to install another 30.1 kWh battery storage system which we paralleled with the original to total 60kWh of storage and 20kW of discharge.
