Rodgers of York is a renowned interior decoration and furniture shop in Monks Cross, York. We installed a supplementary 74 kW PV system (132 panels) to an existing 160 kW array that generates and further 62,000 kWh per year to increase their grid independence by an additional 20%. This system also increased their carbon offset by a further 16 tons per year. As the shop is open during daylight hours, the solar usage is close to 98% meaning almost all of the generated electricity is used straight away.

Over the lifetime of the system, the expected savings are over £650,000 and the payback is just 2.5 years! A 22 kW EV charger was also installed which meant some of the generated electricity is used to charge the cars for free.
