Historic York Golf Club has prepared for the future and embraced sustainability with a 26.65kW solar array. The 65-panel system will save 6 tonnes of CO2 annually and is projected to save over £200,000 in energy bills for the club. Founded in 1890, the sport’s venue boasts a rich history spanning over a century, symbolising tradition and excellence in the sport. Nestled amidst picturesque Yorkshire countryside, the club has hosted numerous championships. The solar installation showcases its commitment to sustainability and prepares the club for the future, blending its proud past with modern environmental stewardship which will ensure a legacy of excellence for generations to come.
