Who is Nathan Lees?
Nathan Lees is our Group Operations Director, and he’s a dynamic force across our business and the renewable energy sector. He began his professional journey at 18 in Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force. During his nine-year tenure, he navigated the roads of Europe, and the skies, refuelling aircraft as part of the Airfield Support team. After his commendable service, Nathan’s fascination with the energy sector led him to spend 15 years in the fuel industry, ascending from a Tanker Driver to the prestigious role of Regional Manager. His journey equipped him with transferable skills that have become the foundation of his success.

Away from the professional arena, Nathan’s home life revolves around a shared love for paddleboarding with his family. His attempt at a handstand on the board resulted in a comical incident involving a phone in the sea and a concussed niece, proving that even Group Directors have their entertaining misadventures.

Beyond the boardroom, Nathan thrives on family-oriented activities. From playing and watching football with his children to paddleboarding along Cornwall’s picturesque coast, kayaking, walking along National Trust paths, and hitting the running track, Nathan finds joy in life’s simple pleasures.
